Oil-Soluble Polyalkylene Glycol (OSP) are new base oils and performance additives derived from butylene oxide as one of the polymer building blocks. They are available in viscosities ranging from 18 to 680 cSt at 40°C. OSPs are soluble in most API Group I-IV base oils and are especially effective as deposit control additives, friction modifiers, viscosity index boosters and offer exceptional air release properties.
