VII of OCP type
Ethelene Propylene Copolyene(OCP) also known as ethylene propylene rubber, it is one of the most widely used finger adhesives at present. It is produced through copolymerization of ethylene and propylene, featuring excellent thermal stability and shear stability, and can maintain stable performance under high-temperature and high-shear conditions. In the high-temperature and high-load working environment of automotive engines, OCP viscosity index agent can effectively maintain the viscosity of engine oil, reduce its oxidation and degradation, and extend its service life. However, the low-temperature performance of OCP is relatively weak. It tends to form gel-like substances at low temperatures, affecting the fluidity of lubricating oil. Therefore, it is usually necessary to use it in combination with lipid pour point depressants to improve its low-temperature performance.
