Specialty Lubricants
Specialty oils, also known as specialty lubricants, are high-performance lubrication products specifically developed for special working conditions, equipment, or performance requirements. They are commonly used in extreme high or low temperature environments, high loads, high impact conditions, equipment operating continuously for extended periods, precision or high-speed mechanical systems, and in industries with high safety standards such as food and pharmaceuticals.
Common types of specialty oils include: high-temperature chain oils, high-temperature bearing oils, synthetic gear oils, low-temperature hydraulic oils, food-grade lubricants, vacuum pump oils, and heat transfer oils. These products typically use synthetic base oils (such as synthetic esters, PAO, PAG, etc.) to enhance stability under extreme conditions.
Currently, the specialty lubricant industry is showing the following trends: higher temperature tolerance (above 300°C), more environmentally friendly and biodegradable products, longer service life and maintenance-free operation, low-smoke and low-carbon-deposit formulation technologies, and customized solutions for specific industry segments.
