Phosphate esters are ester derivatives of phosphoric acid and belong to a category of phosphoric acid derivatives. Specifically, phosphate esters are compounds formed by the reaction of phosphoric acid with alcohols, and their chemical formula is R-O-P(O)(OH)2, where R represents an alkyl or aryl group.

Industrial Application

Flame-retardant materials: Triphenylphosphate (TPP) : Added to plastics (such as PVC) and polyurethane foams to reduce flammability. Triethyl phosphate (TEP) : Used as a flame retardant additive in lithium battery electrolyte.

Lubricating oil and hydraulic oil: Trialkyl phosphate ester: High-temperature resistant and wear-resistant, used in aero engines and industrial hydraulic systems (such as Skydrol®). Polymer material： plasticizer： phosphate ester (e.g., TCP) reinforced plastic flexibility. Adhesives and coatings: Improve water resistance and adhesion. Biological medicine field.
