Ashless Dispersant
Ashless Dispersant is an important type of lubricating oil additive, mainly used to suppress the formation of sludge, carbon deposits and sediment while keeping the engine interior clean.
Unlike traditional metal-based additives (such as sulfonates), ash-free dispersants do not contain metal components (such as calcium, magnesium, etc.), and will not leave ash after combustion, thus avoiding damage to engine components (such as spark plugs, exhaust gas treatment devices).
Mechanism of action: Polar groups adsorb oil sludge and carbon deposit particles, while non-polar long chains disperse them in the oil, preventing particle aggregation and deposition.
Core Function
Cleaning function: Prevents the deposition of low-temperature oil sludge and high-temperature carbon deposits.
Dispersion: keep pollutants suspension, to avoid clogging filter or oil.
Synergy: often used with antioxidant, anti-wear agent, raise the overall performance of lubricating oil.
