Sulfurized isobutylene

Sulfurized isobutylene, is an organic compound. Isobutylene sulfide appears as a colorless to light yellow liquid with a rubber-like odor and is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether and benzene. Isobutylene sulfide has the characteristics of ozone resistance, good thermal stability and chemical corrosion resistance, and has broad application prospects in lubricating oil additives.

The field of lubricating oil additives is the largest demand end for isobutylene sulfide. As an extreme pressure and anti-wear agent, it can be used in anti-wear hydraulic oil, metalworking oil, industrial lubricating oil and grease and other oil products. Extreme pressure anti-wear agents can effectively prevent wear on metal surfaces and are a specialized product of lubricating oil additives. In recent years, with technological advancements, the domestic production process of extreme pressure anti-wear agents in China has accelerated, which will provide favorable conditions for the development of the isobutylene sulfide industry.
