Synthetic esters: The "Swiss Army Knife" of the lubrication industry!
Synthetic esters - multi-functional, high-performance, and highly adaptable, can almost meet the demands of all kinds of harsh working conditions. Whether it is for aero engines in high-temperature environments or for environmentally friendly degradable hydraulic oil, synthetic esters can handle them with ease.
The molecular structure of synthetic esters contains polar ester groups, which endows them with excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics: high-temperature stability: Strong oxidation resistance, not prone to decomposition or coking, suitable for high-temperature scenarios such as turbine engines and industrial gearboxes (operating temperatures can reach over 200°C). Low-temperature fluidity: Some synthetic esters (such as diesters) remain fluid at -50°C, making them ideal choices for polar equipment or aviation lubrication.
Synthesis of ester polar structure makes it can firmly adsorbed on the metal surface, form stable lubrication film, significantly reduce the friction and wear, compared with mineral oil, synthetic ester oil film strength is higher, suitable for high load gears, bearings and other key components. It has a better synergistic effect with additives (such as anti-wear agents) and can extend the service life of the equipment.
Against the backdrop of the global promotion of carbon neutrality, synthetic esters stand out due to their biodegradability: The biodegradability rate of some synthetic esters (such as plant oil-based esters) is >80%, which complies with environmental protection regulations (such as the EU Ecolabel). Low toxicity, suitable for food-grade lubricants (NSF H1 certification).
