The Molecular Structure and Performance Influence of Unsaturated Polyol Esters

As a high-performance synthetic Ester, the unique molecular structure of Unsaturated Polyol Ester endows it with characteristics such as biodegradability, high oxidation stability and excellent low-temperature fluidity.

Unsaturated polyol esters are compounds formed by the esterification reaction of unsaturated polyols (such as pentaerythritol, neopentyl glycol) and unsaturated fatty acids (such as oleic acid, linoleic acid). Its molecular structure can be simplified as:

R₁-COO-R₂ (fatty acid chain) + R₃-(OH)ₙ (polyol chain)  R₁COO-R₂ + HO-R₃ → R₁COO-R₂·HO-R₃ (esterification products).

The influence of molecular structure on performance

Lubrication performance: The unsaturated bonds in unsaturated polyol esters can provide excellent lubrication performance, reducing friction and wear, and are suitable for various industrial lubrication requirements.

Chemical stability: Due to the presence of unsaturated bonds in its molecular structure, unsaturated polyol esters exhibit good stability in high-temperature and oxidizing environments, making them suitable for lubrication requirements in high-temperature and strongly oxidizing conditions.
